Creationism Vs. Evolution
Why is it that politicians feel the need to teach a religious concept in public school. I seem to thing that if this were truly a necessary it would already be taking place.
I am not going to get into the Supreme Court or legal/Constitutional issues here. But I would like to think I have a logical position on this. I have my beliefs, I know what they are, why, and how I personally think about this issue. I am not sure I want some public school teacher telling my kids what their religious beliefs should be. I want a train theologian, or if barring that ME, to explain all of this. In the immortal phrasiology of DOVBEAR, President Bunnypants really should keep his nose out of my children's education. But then, if I had children, I would be sending them to dayschool and not public school.

"President Bunnypants really should keep his nose out..." To give credit where due, that would be an adorable widdle pink bunnynose, right?

And good luck keeping the teachers there out of your kid's religious education.

That sort of is the point of sending them to dayschool. I would rather they get the education from a religious institution that from some public school teacher. I am not sure I want, for instance, some Fundamentalist Baptist teaching my nice Jewish children a religious concept, even if it is part of an approved public school educational curriculum.
